Giving voice to places that generate new centralities.
curated by Giuliana Conte and Valeria Letelier – artistic and organizational direction
In San Potito Sannitico, in the heart of the Matese Park, a collective process is taking shape, bringing together local communities, contemporary arts, and a variety of crafts.
The auditorium designed by Fabrizio Carola, left unfinished for years, now becomes the threshold for a new beginning: a space that will host music, theatre, performance, and hybrid practices.
InOnda emerges within the broader ecosystem of the Cupole: the Contemporary Arts Laboratory (C:L.A.C.), brick structures conceived by Carola as spaces for research and experimentation. These already host a fine art printmaking laboratory co-managed with the Naples Academy of Fine Arts, as well as workshops, talks, and exhibitions. From these living architectures, energies, ideas, and shared pathways radiate outward.
The project is rooted in a territory that has experienced intense seasons of creativity – from the Fate Festival to Cinemadamare, from the Bus Theater to various film festivals. Precious traces, which might otherwise fade over the summer, are being revived. InOnda chooses to inhabit that silence and transform it into continuity.
Regeneration begins with materials sourced locally: production scraps are turned into acoustic panels, while leftover materials are transformed into seating and installations, and mapping and self-building processes involve businesses, institutions, and citizens. Everything is built collectively, as the space comes alive through those who inhabit it.
Alongside this collective work, three international artist residencies and a public program intertwining art, education, technology, and conscious use of artificial intelligence take shape.
