the domes

The domes are a dynamic 323 m2 multi-purpose
space divided into 2 modules, which in turn, consist of 5 and 3 smaller domes.
Both spaces are connected by a large, open courtyard surrounded by a 128 m2 glass portico.

This cluster-like arrangement provides versatility in terms of lighting and atmosphere, and allows the space to be used for various independent activities and co-working.

the lab

Facilities include plenty of indoor and outdoor space and:

  • a chalcographic press
  • rollers for inking
  • a bromograph
  • tanks for developing and cleaning the frame.

multidisciplinary lab

The timeless color and porosity of the terracotta domes contrast with the surrounding buildings, while the curved elements and brick material give the interior space its intimate character.

The complex also houses LATEM an archaeological laboratory specialising
in the history and archaeology of the Volturno
and the Matese Valley, as well as a public library with more than 15000 volumes on medieval history, art, architecture, and archaeology.
