“HERBARIANS OF MATESE” is an initiative that brings together art, craftsmanship, and sustainability in a vibrant journey of collective research and experimentation with local fibres. The exploration began with several workshops that took place from June 30 to July 3 at The Domes and Lavatoio Porta Agricola. Here, students and faculty from the Academy of Fine Arts of Milan and Naples collaborated with Matese’s citizens to explore the processing of vegetable fibres, including waste fibres. Their goal was to propose supports and materials for art and craftsmanship, fostering the emergence of sustainable productive supply chains. The journey culminated with an exhibition titled "Di fibre. Matese Materia Prima" (About Fibre, Matese Raw Material) on July 4 at Centro Polifunzionale. The event included a project presentation and the exhibits inauguration, followed by a musical aperitif with Sally Cangiano trio.
