Bus Theatre in collaboration with Enanas de lanas presented “Menage a trois”. The two theatre companies met from 30 May to 6 June to take part in a new artistic residency in San Potito Sannitico. “Ménage à trois” is a reflection on the meaning of death and the richness of human relationships. Death, the archetype of fears, is revealed in its changing nature and opens up possible interpretations of the meaning of its forms.
Plot:
“Ménage à trois” is a French expression that describes a relationship between three people that is not necessarily sexual, but certainly sentimental. The work is about the meeting of three archetypes: Love, Old Age and Death. It is the meeting of three lonely characters who live in spaces that have now become obsolete: on the one hand, the limbo of death and, on the other, the family interior of Bruno and Adelita. The two lovers, a typical old couple, have now learnt that time has passed quickly, so quickly that they and their feelings are unrecognisable, but just when there is no longer a glimmer of hope...
